Safety

It might sound silly at first, but one of the most important things to have on hand when hiking in the woods is a can of bear spray. Bears are a legitimate danger in Montana, and having a way to defend yourself can make a critical difference in the wild.

Almost any sporting goods shop, grocery store, or hardware store sells bear spray. Familiarize yourself with basic bear safety such as hiking in groups and staying on the trail.

What Shoes to Wear

As all of our locations are set on mountainsides, we highly recommend wearing flat-bottomed shoes on the day of the photo shoot. Dress shoes and flats are a good option, but feel free to go all out and even wear a pair of hiking boots. Just keep in mind you will be walking and standing on uneven ground, so we would advise against high heels.
